The Chairs

The Chairs are a way for our research laboratories to attract well-known talented people and contribute to our policy of excellence regarding knowledge dissemination and international standing. 

CY Cergy Paris University hosts two kinds of chairs. Both aim to support a strategic research topic by offering optimal research conditions. They are managed by a dedicated team led by a research lecturer internationally known for his/her excellence in the Chair's field.
 

Sponsoring chairs and university chairs

Sponsorship chairs bring universities and businesses together to develop research and training activities around a common theme. The CY Foundation assists its partners in defining and implementing the chairs.

The university chairs are funded by the INEX initiative of excellence programme. These chairs are centres of excellence, a demonstration of our potential and our attractiveness. They attract top-level researchers and stimulate our research.
